Here are a couple of photos from my fabulous red carpet Next Great Baker premiere party at Houston Station. I would love to thank all of my friends, family, and colleagues for attending. My best friend and colleague Angela Proffitt
This is just one example of the beautiful lighting from another one of my best friends and colleagues Blake Chaffin and his team from Nashville Event Lighting. Thank you again for an amazing job!
I got to ride in style for the evening in a Matchless Limo. Here I am arriving on the red carpet.
Thank you to all of my friends and family for being there to support me and cheer me on. Can you tell how surprised I was?
Chase Rivers Flair! created these stunning centerpieces, complimented by wonderful table linens provided by Connie Dunglin Specialty Linens. Chase and Jennifer French Byler are two of my best friends and colleagues. I love you both and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Not only did my guests get to see the Next Great Baker debut, but they also got to see the unveiling of my "Jay's Suga Momma" t-shirts at the premiere party. A portion of the proceeds will go toward cancer research in honor of the three original "Jay Suga Momma"s, my mother Wanda Violet Bell, Tommye Mehaley Warren Bell, and Myrna Irene Daughtery Inman who loaned me my first cake pan, frosting bag, and taught me how to make the buttercream that we still use 19 years later at my studio. This shirt has their intitials hidden in the design of the shirt and is very meaningful to me.. Please contact us at Maples Wedding Cakes to order your shirt today. The cost of the shirts are $25. Many thanks to Cindy, Richard, and Becky from EmbroideMe for all their support and hard work. We will also beautiful coffee mugs on sale with Maples Wedding Cakes on them and my new company Jay Qualls Inc. This company will manage all my appearances, classes, demonstrations, and consulting for new cake shop owners. More information to come on that.
As they always say, "the proof is in the puddin'!" So, following suit, I put on my proof, and showed off myTLC and Next Great Baker chef coat! A good fit for the occasion. I certainly earned the right to proudly wear this jacket. It was a wonderful life experience. More to come!
Stay tuned into our blog posts to find out what will be happening in 2011 with Maples Wedding Cakes and Jay Qualls Inc.
